Crop technologies demonstrated at FTCs include different varieties of cereals (like maize, sorghum, wheat, and teff), pulses (like Faba been, filed peas, and common been), vegetables (potato, sweet potato, carrot, garlic, and shallot), and oil crops (linseed, sesame and groundnut). Technologies related to planting methods, fertilizer application, disease and pest control, and other agronomic practices are also demonstrated along different varieties of these crops. Demonstrations are usually made in the University’s research stations, Farmers’ Training Centers (FTCs), Fields of Farmers Cooperatives/Unions, and on fields of individual farmers.
